Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown 

This is truly a classic!  I was fond of this book as a child and now enjoy reading it to my daughter.   This is a great book to start asking them to find specific objects.  My daughter especially likes to find the mouse throughout the book!

Mommy's Best Kisses by Margaret Anastas

This is truly a sweet book.  Each page highlights a mother and baby animal and a different body part to kiss.   The illustrations are beautiful and the book is a great way to teach about body parts as well as various animals.  A bedtime read for our house!

Lemons Are Not Red by Laura Vaccaro Seeger

This is a very creative book that teaches children not only about colors, but about shapes and objects as well.  This is a new favorite for my daughter.

Wild Animal Baby by The National Wildlife Foundation

My daughter received this as a Christmas present and it's proven to be a great gift!  She truly enjoys reading each  book, especially since a new one arrives every month.   Throughout the book there are close-up photos, picture stories, rhymes and games.  This is an excellent book series and also makes for a great gift!
