Cleaning with the Kids
Whether you have toddlers are active teenagers, it’s never too early or late to have your kids participate in daily cleaning activities around the house. Having choirs is a great way to teach community, responsibility and ownership!

Timed cleaning
Sometimes the house doesn’t need a deep cleaning, but needs a little sprucing up. Toys have been left out or the book bags are on the table. Whatever it is, it just needs to be put away. Gathering the troops together, have a timed pick-up session. If the kids are small, try putting on an upbeat song and see who can pick up the most during one song. If they are older, have a reward for who ever can pick up the most in a timed period. Bottom line, figure out what works for your family and encourage a quick clean-up session.

Chore Chart
Creating a chart for the whole family to see often helps in the cleaning process. Assign daily or weekly chores

Nightly pick-up
Before kids go to bed, encourage them to straighten their rooms before the lights go out. Putting things away creates a sense of peace and harmony in a room. Your kids can awake to a clean room without the clutter. Plus, it gets them in the habit of preparing the next day.
